Gombori is where families end up, and it is built for it.
There is a double bed and a proper wooden bunk with a ladder, set in its own nook by the window, which means the children get a corner that feels like theirs and you get to read for a while after they have gone quiet. The floors are pale pine and the door, like every other door in the house, is that green.
The window looks west towards the Gombori range — the mountains you drive over to get here from Tbilisi. In the late afternoon they turn the colour of the wine.
Downstairs there is an indoor play area and a shelf of board games, and the garden is enclosed, so this room tends to work for people travelling with small children who have run out of patience with hotels.
